Whether you are a beginner who has never touched clay or someone looking to brush up on their skills this class is perfect for you and will feature hands on instruction. This class mainly focuses on skill building of hand building with clay. Although we have specific pieces we will focus on to create, we welcome you to be as creative as you want. We will learn basic hand-building technics such as pinch pots, coil building and slab making. As well as clay preparation, tools, and the creativity process. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis class will be instructed by Kim Waller of Waller Works and Wares. Your class will be once a week for 2.5 hours for 6 weeks on the specific day you signed up for. The cost of this series is $250 per person and includes 1 block of 25 pounds of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ebrown speckled clay. Additional clay will be available for purchase however you typically only need the one block. This includes use of shared community tools, glaze materials, and kiln firings. You'll also receive shelf space for storing your in-progress work and unlimited time in the studio during member hours\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e**Please bring a medium to large Tupperware container for reclaim clay. This is for all your scraps that we will reuse so no clay is wasted. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis class is for ages 13 and up. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIf you would like additional time in the studio, we have open studio times:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMonday 10-7pm\u003cbr\u003eTuesday 10-8pm\u003cbr\u003eWednesday 10-8pm\u003cbr\u003eThursday 10-8pm\u003cbr\u003eFriday 10-7pm\u003cbr\u003eSaturday 10-7pm\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eStudio time is included in the price of the class. When you come in for open studio time there will be people to ask questions but no instruction. If you miss a week you will not be refunded for that day but we do offer one make up day of your choosing. You are also welcome to come to open studio time.
